Amanda Bynes Calls Rihanna Ugly On Twitter

When I read this post, I started to wonder what Rihanna did to her, trying to investigate it.
Troubled U.S. actress Amanda Bynes focused her latest Twitter rant on Rihanna, criticizing the Barbadian pop star for being "so ugly tryin to be white."

"@rihanna you look so ugly tryin to be white," Bynes tweeted in a message she deleted two minutes later Sunday, X17 reported.

"Chris Brown beat you because you're not pretty enough," Bynes said in a later online message.
She also re-tweeted a post by Rihanna that read: "'Look who came to see me!! My lover Stella McCartney!!!," to which Bynes replied, "No one wants to be your lover so you call everyone and their mother that I almost named my new dog Rihanna."

X17 said Rihanna responded to the online insult with her own Twitter message.

"Ya see what happens when they cancel Intervention," she said.

"Unlike ur fugly faced self I don't do drugs! U need the intervention dog! I met ur ugly face in person! U aren't pretty u know it!" Bynes wrote.

Bynes, 27, is the former star of TV's "The Amanda Show" and "What I Like About You" and the films "What a Girl Wants" and "Hairspray." Her once-bright career has been eclipsed in recent months by reports of erratic behavior, bizarre online rants and motor vehicle offenses.
She was arrested last week in New York for allegedly throwing a bong out of her 36th-floor apartment window while police were in her home investigating a complaint that she was smoking marijuana in the building lobby.

Bynes later accused one of the police officers of sexual harassment, saying on Twitter he "slapped my vagina."
The matter is under investigation.

Sad: Angelina Jolie's Aunt Died Of Cancer

Angelina Jolie's maternal aunt, Debbie Martin, has died of breast cancer, at Palomar Hospital in Escondido, Calif., E! News reported. She was 61.
Martin was hospitalized Wednesday and died Sunday, her husband, Ronald, told People.com.
Jolie, the 37-year-old mother of six young children, recently revealed she had a preventative double mastectomy after learning she had tested positive for the BRCA gene, which predisposes her to breast and ovarian cancers.
The actress' mother, Marcheline Bertrand, died of ovarian cancer in 2007 at the age of 56.
People.com said Jolie was not with her aunt when she died, but she had seen her many times since her diagnosis and had been in frequent contact this past week to lend her support.
"Angelina has been sending her wishes," Ron Martin told People.com. "She and my wife texted each other. It was difficult for my wife, during the last few months, to communicate."
Jolie's uncle called the film star's decision to have a preventive double mastectomy "the smartest thing on earth."
"It takes a lot of courage to have your breasts removed," he said.

Condoms Fall Out From Bus-Preacher's Bible When He Was Ministering

A bus preacher was almost lynched on Saturday morning at Toyota Bus stop, in front of the popular Ladipo Spare parts market, when some condoms allegedly fell out of his bible as he preached the ‘Word of God’. A source gathered that the self acclaimed Man of God was dragged out of the commercial bus and beaten into a pulp before he was rescued by some policemen.
According to information made available to our source, the Pastor had embarked on his journey from Apapa and proceeded to preach to the people on the bus, using very strong words like “If you wear trouser you’ll go to hell! The Devil invented Make up! Weave-on is from Marine Kingdom! If you have pre-marital sèx you will burn in hell and your skin will peel!” It was learnt that the people in the bus were so moved and some started falling under the anointing. According to an eye witness, Mr. John Mbakogu, who was on his way to his shop at Ladipo, “People were just falling as he was laying hands.
One man almost fell out of the bus under the influence of the Spirit. It was amazing until he raised his hands to cast the demons out of one girl, and 2 Durex condoms fell out” “The angry men in the bus who had been having pangs of guilt due to the pastor’s preaching about sèx suddenly got really angry and pounced on him, who all of a sudden started shouting, I also preach safe sèx! Safe sèx is good!” However, Policemen had to be called to the scene to save the pastors life. So far 2 arrests have been made, and the Condoms have been kept as evidence.

Afrocandy Don't Mind If Her Daughters Act Nude

The controversial adult movie actress recently told Punch;
"I may be their mother because I brought them into the world. I may have the privilege to raise them up to adult age. But you know, I cannot tell them what to do or follow at a certain age. Besides, they are Americans who have their own minds. If they graduate from college and decide to follow my footsteps, it’s their own calling. If I can predict, they wouldn’t want to do what I do because they have better opportunities and better futures than mine.
All I do now is to secure a better future for them so they don’t have to go through what I went through in my life time. Mind you, I tell my daughters everything I do. I even told them about this project, the nature of it, but I could not show them because they are not up to 18 yet. I just had to prepare them in case they run into it on the Internet, they won’t be shocked. So don’t worry about my daughters, they are the best children any mother could ever ask for and I thank God for the gift."

The Cookie Crumbles On Romantic Scene For Actress Dakore Egbuson Akande

Film producers and directors dreaming of featuring actress, Dakore Egbusan-Akande in a romantic role now that she has staged a comeback to Nollywood after taking time off to marry and have a baby, had better forget it! The actress who made her Nollywood debut in 2000 has declared that she can no longer act romantic roles because she is now married and so has to consider her husband’s feelings.
The curvy mother of one and star of Silent Tears stated that her career has now taken on a new dimension and consequently, she has to be more discerning in the roles she chooses to act.
“I have to consider my husband before taking any role these days,” Dakore said as a bright smile lit her features. “I will not do romantic roles as I used to back in the day. Though, if I saw a role that is good and positive, maybe I could act. I am now a new Dakore and not the old Dakore people used to know because I am coming into a new era in my career. I am now a mother and a wife. I just have to be more discerning about the movies that I embark upon.”
Marriage
After she got married in what has been described as one of the most anticipated weddings in Nollywood two years ago, Dakore went into oblivion and the rumour mill was agog that her husband, Olumide Akande, had barred her from ever pursuing her first love, acting, and so she had been forced into premature retirement. However, the actress said there was no iota of truth in the rumour.
“It’s obviously not true because if it was, I wouldn’t have shot a new movie and wouldn’t be working on other movie projects,” Dakore said, shaking her head in negation and spreading her hands expansively to drive home her point. “It’s unfortunate that people just like to play into stereotypes. At this stage we are all grown up and we all know that life is not the way it was when we were growing up so women often have to work and earn a living. But aside the financial aspect, I also love what I do. I never retired from Nollywood and my husband never barred me from acting.”
But she’s married to a stupendously rich man, why is she bothered about working when she could just laze away while her husband takes care of her every need? “It doesn’t matter,” she retorts, “I am very independent and like taking care of things and apart from that, my acting is a gift from God. I would be very wrong if I were to dump it.”
Home front
Dakore is always in the limelight, and as an actress, she runs a tight schedule. How is her husband coping? “He is doing very well. I must commend him. He understands the nature of my job and he has been very supportive, he is my greatest fan ever. My husband is a very confident man and he understands it’s my job so he is not jealous that I am in the limelight.
Motherhood
Dakore, who exchanged marital vows with her heartthrob, Olumide Akande in January 2011, and who wowed audiences when she made her first post baby appearance during the premiere of I’ll Take My Chances, spoke about motherhood and how it has transformed her.
“Motherhood makes me appreciate my mum a lot more because now I know what she went through raising me and my siblings. It’s made me a much calmer person. Now I have to watch out for my daughter and give her the very best in life. I am a much more mature and evolved person,” she said.
So, now that Dakore has a baby girl, how many more kids is she planning to have?
The actress bursts into laughter as she responds thus: “I don’t know. I am just enjoying having a baby. She is not even two years yet so I am not in a hurry. God knows, my baby means the world to me. She inspires me to want to go back to work. I don’t mind if she ends up an actress tomorrow; she can do whatever she wants to do in life. I will only encourage her.”
Most of her peers are now into movie production. What are her plans? Dakore pauses for a while before responding: “That’s quite complex. Going into movie production is a great idea but as you know, it’s very complex; not as easy as you think.”

Model Isabella Ayuk Addresses Rumoured Romance With Deputy Speaker

ISABELLA AGBOR OJONG AYUK
The 2012 Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria, Isabelle Ayuk was rumoured to be in a relationship with Deputy Speaker, House of Reps, Hon Emeka Ihedioha. Below is what she said in a recent interview:
“As an MBGN winner, there will always be stories about one thing or the other. It’s a normal thing. The story is hilarious and not true. People should learn to get their facts right. These people actually do not have names or faces. At first, it was the story of how I lied about my age, then came the dethronement story. Now this! Where were these people when I went for MBGN twice and finished top 10 and won best traditional costume award? And in 2012, with determination and persistence, I won and people who were obviously not happy about my victory cooked up stories. I can’t bother about what people say because some people are just on this earth to talk about others.

Comedian Princess Shares Her Love Story

Newly-weds-Adesola-and-Princesss-2

Popular Nigerian female comedian, Princess, and her movie producer/director husband, Adeshola Jeremiah, tied the knot on Wednesday 8th May 2013 at the Balmoral Hall, Oregun, Lagos. It was indeed a happy day for ‘Madam’ Princess who had almost lost of hope of finding a husband.
Below is their very interesting love story…

On what attracted her to Adeshola Jeremiah
Well he is a quiet person and if not for the fact that I am into entertainment, I also like my privacy, I don’t like unnecessary show-off. If I go somewhere and they don’t recognize me, that is very okay by me, I just love to be myself.  How They Met
He saw me when I went for their program in Odunfa Cancus (A Yoruba Theatre Group). I went because of a friend of mine Latifat, who was also trained there. She was in UNILAG and my junior in Theatre Arts. So I went there and that was where he saw me and that was like so many years ago in 2005.
Every time I visit my friend, because they are always together, he will see me there, he couldn’t approach me, not because of my status but the fact that anytime I come I will just play with everyone for like 5 to 10 minutes and just zoom off. And I play and smile with everyone but I don’t give that chance that I am easily approachable in order not to draw unnecessary attention.
 Things Were Different This Time…
Then in 2008, he was shooting his own movie, I also went there to see a friend of mine, he saw me again and went to meet that friend of mine, he told her he wanted to meet me that he would want me to play a role in the movie.
My friend discouraged him saying if he should meet me, it will look like they didn’t plan themselves well. That same year, he was with that my friend when I came to visit and he told her “I really want to marry Princess” (laughs) and my friend started laughing and she told him it’s not possible.
He kept on pestering her and told her why don’t you tell her first and lets hear what she says, she (Latifat) now said I don’t think I can tell her, Princess is my very close friend and I can’t tell her that because Princess doesn’t have time for men now and she has said it’s her work for now. But he continued disturbing her to tell me, so that day we were watching a TV program and I love cooking so she saw a dish and said this dish is very nice how I wish I could eat it now and I said oh you want me to stand up and go prepare this food, so when I went to the kitchen.
She later came into the kitchen and said she wanted to tell me something, and I said what is it, she said this person likes me and wants to marry me, so I just started laughing, it was very funny, she felt embarrassed and went back to the sitting room, I asked her why won’t I be embarrassed, when the person told you, why didn’t you just tell him Princess won’t agree and she said that’s exactly what she told the person but the person insisted.
I told her to give the person my number, and when he called I was just laughing, he asked “what’s funny”, I said nothing, he now said “well he is Latifat’s friend” and I said yes I know that, and I started bombarding him with questions just to discourage him, so he won’t call again.
So when his credit got finished, he called back again. I said this one I have been asking him many questions na wa o but its okay do I have more questions to ask? and I said yes o and started asking him more questions, I asked him questions again till 11:30 PM, he ran out of credit again and called back, and I am like where are you getting all the money for this credit, he just said “don’t worry I will call you back”, when he called back again he asked if I had more questions and I said no because it was already past midnight and we have been talking since past 6.
 Friend to Fiance
That was it! We later became friends and got very close, then he said he wanted to marry me and even told me many things about myself. I was quite surprised and wondered how he got to know all about me. That was how we started and things continued but we just decided to keep everything low key. At first I felt it was low key and if he disappionts me, it won’t hurt too much, but when everything became too serious that was how everything went then we started meeting our families and I discovered that some people he knew, were also the same people I know.
On her sudden wedding announcement
Yes we have been planning it but because my sister was getting married on February 14th, we just felt that hers is the reigning wedding and they were the latest , so we concentrated more on hers and also we were trying to avoid the news reaching the press.
So I think 3 weeks or about a month to our wedding, we had already done the introduction and that was when we now started distributing the invitations, because we said if we give people the IVs earlier, news will go around. My husband started distributing his cards a month to the wedding but I started 2 and a half weeks to the wedding because I just said everybody will hear.
On not wanting to publicize her Wedding
The thing is, that’s the kind of person I am. I am just there, I just believe I am like every other Nigerian and even though my work has exposed me and made me to be seen or perceived as a celebrity, my partner is not a public person like that and we just didn’t want too much noise.
Even the day I sent text messages to some of my friends, the next day I started reading so many stories on the internet, and you can imagine that people wrote on the internet that Princess is getting married because she was pregnant and now she is trying to get one guy to marry her.
It was even my husband who saw it and called my attention to it. He was lying on the couch and just laughing and I was like, what’s funny and who are you chatting with?, he just said there is something they wrote on the internet and I said what, he just said it’s on Facebook, they said you are pregnant, and I said don’t mind them but I just felt bad because people sometimes naturally find it difficult to be happy for others.
Even now that I am married, I pray to have kids but you can’t start spreading rumours that somebody is getting married because they are pregnant. You don’t have an insight nor information about them, you can’t reach those people so you just write anything you want. But anyway I didn’t let that bother me, I just kept it to myself. Even when I was rehearsing for my show because we had two different dance routines and it was difficult, so I didn’t even have time to dwell on that.
On what she loves most about him
I love everything about him and he is very understanding. He understands the essence of us being on earth which is just to worship God and he is God fearing.
That’s the first thing I noticed about him and I was even surprised. I have always said If I had choice, I will marry a musician but then which musician can I now marry (laughs). He is very God fearing and at least we are not perfect but if you are God fearing, you will always know when you are doing something wrong.

Nollywood Director Fred Amata @ 50

Nollywood Director and actor, Fred Amata has come a long way. He has also come of age. Fred turns 50 today and he’s more than happy, he is excited. In this exclusive interview with The Entertainer, Fred Amata takes a look back at his life and agrees that it’s worth celebrating. Excerpts:

director and actor, Fred Amata has come a long way. He has also come of age. Fred turns 50 today and he’s more than happy, he is excited. In this exclusive interview with The Entertainer, Fred Amata takes a look back at his life and agrees that it’s worth celebrating. Excerpts:

If you take a holistic look at it, what comes to your mind now that you turn 50?
Generally, I look at a journey that has been unique mostly by the grace of God, I discovered that a lot of things just come to me not because of… and when they don’t come to me I hardly feel it. I am the type of person you could describe as being content. You see that song, Content, means a lot to me.
When you say content, does that mean not settling for less?
I am content with what I have, little be it or much.
At 50, apart from being content, are you happy?
More than happy! I am excited. Why else would I be celebrating if I’m not? I am excited. Yes, I will say I am happy.
Do you still dance?
I can’t stop dancing. Part of the reason why I originally started this is because I wanted to dance but the story became a lot more. I still dance a lot, I still dance normally; I dance a lot.
I saw you at Encomium ‘White and Groove’ party and you were everywhere…?
You will see me dancing again tomorrow on the pitch; I’ll be doing a Roger Mila dance. We have a party again; I am going to be dancing. I don’t think I am going to stop dancing.
Any regrets?
They’ve asked me that question in months honestly speaking, and I have come to answer it like this because it actually captures how I feel. I usually see regrets as temporary because a lot of times you regret something and want it to be different but when you take your time to measure it against time, you find out that what you thought you regretted is best exactly how you regretted it. So, there’s no regret essentially.
I saw you for the first time some years ago. Between then and now most of your colleagues have fallen by the wayside. Between that time and now what have you been able to do to evolve with time and still be reckoned with?
The way I understand your question is ‘maintaining relevance’ and if you look at my history well, you will realize that I am not in as many productions as my other colleagues so to speak. People nowadays tend to see it as a ‘bigger guy’ but before this time I probably used to do as many films, which is like one or two films a year, and I maintain my relevance with that. But in recent times, maybe its just a little less but the challenge being the kind of jobs, productions that are available and the kind of productions that I aspire to do, and its complicated further by the amount of funds available to achieving the goals. A lot of times even when you feel this is a job I can do and its all good, the money is bad and they can’t even get off the ground or when they get off the ground there is no end. At the end of the day, it affects production value. So, I have been careful in selecting the jobs that we have done. In terms of relevance, I will say the revolution in Nigeria now is going towards the cinema, the cinematic films; it’s in the cinema that your true worth is truly tested. We have pursued that and I am proud to say that I belong to a production that has truly gone international, Black November, which would be coming out soon, it was suppose to be out last year. It’s huge and for me its about the biggest production out of Africa in terms of the Nollywood phenomenal, and hopefully by the time its out, people will understand exactly what I am saying. So, that way we are able to select the relevant jobs that will make us relevant.
I learnt that the studio abroad actually dismantled the production that Jeta (Amata) did and started all over again?
Which studio abroad? The studio abroad that is handling the production is Jeta and Wes, which is owned by Jeta Amata and Wes Ekubong. There is no influence whatsoever in production, finances, or in anything that is coming from America; they are all coming from Nigeria. So, that rumour is false. Wes and Jeta is a production company that runs into the production of Black November right from Nigeria here; that rumour is false.
He didn’t re-shoot the movie abroad?
He re-shot bits of the movie, the bits were his personal decision and there were other bits that were shot. Scenes that have been shot four years ago in Makurdi are still in the film. The reason for re-shoot is different from what people are making it out to be and the reason for re-shoot is to reach into the American market. They advised us to get an A-list actor, twist it and put in. Then we went and sought out Rich Rook who took the role and we re-shot it.
Which other A-list actors were there?
We have Akon, Wyclef, Vivica Fox, Ann Herch (we don’t know her much here but she’s big in Hollywood), and White, who won Best Actress award in Pan African Film Festival a year ago, Fred Amata, ZZZ Nzuki, and OC Ukeje.
I am sure you will be surprised if I didn’t ask you this question. Looking back, whatever happened in your marriage, will it get to…?
(Cuts in) I won’t answer that question.
I am not asking you about…?
(Cuts in) No, no, no. I don’t answer any question in whatever disguise that has to do with my personal life and marriage. So, please oblige me.
Okay, have you remarried? The reason I am asking is because…?
(Cuts in) I have not remarried, I can answer you that.
I am sure you read the papers where it was reported that you married one woman?
Oblige me. Wetin concern me…(general laughter).
What else should we expect from you at 50?
Hmmm. They say life begins at 40 but nowadays life begins at 50. As you can see, I do not look like 50. If you look closely at people turning 50, you will find out that they are looking more youthful, more energetic and that is what we are trying to say.
Should we expect more from you production wise?
Of course! Definitely! What the whole celebration has also taught me is that I actually should be going back to my roots, handling stage production and movies. You are going to be seeing a lot more of that.
Are you happy at the state of Nollywood?
Nollywood is blah, blah, blah (noisy).
What went wrong with your company?
It has to do with the increasing problem in Nollywood. Nollywood is a very complex industry. It has to do with the understanding of the practitioners against the challenges of the market, challenges of the environment, misunderstandings and a lot of…whatever.
Why were you not at AMAA?
I was not invited, my invites didn’t get to me and they accused me of not attending. But I cannot be blamed for their distribution error.

"I'm not dating any man presently" - Actress Dayo Amusa

This interview is so funny... Read on....
Dayo Amusa has been around for a while but she’s fast becoming the next big thing especially after strings of ‘out-of-the-box’ movies and moves. Dayo who studied Food Technology is a goal getter, who with strong support from her mum and strong business sense is the new poster girl for the wealthy, young and successful. In this interview with The Entertainer, she spoke about her new movie with Desmond Elliot and Mike Ezunronye, her love life, the many rumors of drugs, lesbianism, and the likes. D-one as she’s fondly called denied them all but was frank enough to admit she once cheated on her boyfriend.

Let’s start with your new movie, Unforgiveable. I noticed you used actors not used to doing Yoruba movies-Desmond Elliot, Mike Ezunronye and the likes. You did the same in your movie, Dewunmi Iberu three years ago when you featured Uche Jombo and Justus Esiri. Why?

I’m a goal-getter and a pace-setter. Considering the level the entertainment industry is heading, one just has to do it right. You have to do something you will be remembered for. Getting them was a little difficult , because of their work schedules but don’t forget that we are all actors. It costs more money, but like I said, I like doing something different and as a producer we must learn to take risks. Is it worth it? It’s 110% worth it for me. Featuring Uche Jombo and Justus Esiri on Dewunmi Iberu added to the value of the movie. Now, having Mike and Desmond in Unforgivable is blissful. Very few people know that Mike speaks Yoruba.

Why did you choose Desmond to direct, a lot of people feel he cannot direct?

Whoever said Desmond cannot direct doesn’t know what he’s talking about. I saw Holding Hope and Bursting Out, and I was impressed with his job. I met him and sent the story to him. He got back to me and said it’s a project he would love to do.

How much did he charge?

You know I won’t tell you but he charged like ‘hell’ compared to where I’m coming from.

Is it true the writer of Figurine wrote this?

Yes, he did. Kunle Afolayan is a role model. I watched Figurine and I was impressed . Kunle should watch his back, we are right behind. I had the story of Unforgivable but needed a writer to bring it to life. I met him and he gave me a bill that struck me like thunderbolt. He said he wouldn’t go below a certain figure. I struggled to get it and had to relax for a while after the script was ready.

Some people think you are an ‘area girl’ Why do they have that impression about you ?

A lot of people believe that people who come from the Yoruba genre belong to a certain cadre of life, a lower one at that. When I got into the industry, a lot of producers gave me bad girl roles, a gangster and the likes. I was crying to do something totally different. That was the reason I played a different role in Unforgivable. People should also know that we are not what we play in movies. I am not razz and I’m not a thug or area girl.

Tell me about your family?

I’m the first child in a family of five. My mum is from Ogun state and dad is from Lagos. In my father’s family , if you are not an efico (very brilliant in school) you are nothing. I wanted to do the arts but no one would hear of it. I attended Mayflower Secondary School and did my ND in Food Technology at Moshood Abiola Polythecnic. I didn’t go for my HND, because I started business early and I didn’t want to over-burden my mum then who had responsibilities of sending my four siblings to school.

Is it true that you dated Wemimo?

That is very funny because Uncle Wemmy (Paul) never asked me out. I will say something I’ve never said to anybody to you today. My first movie ever was Wemimo’s film, Aiye Jobele. I acted seven scenes and went back to school to tell my friends to watch out for me. I went with pictures I took with some of the stars including Saidi Balogun, Baba Wande and others. To my greatest shock when the movie came out, I didn’t see any of my scenes. My roommates gathered to watch looking for me in the movie. They asked if it was true I was in the movie. I cried and went to a business center and called Wemimo. He asked why couldn’t I go and meet the DOP I was friendly with on set. What happened was, I think he had something in mind but he never asked me out. I was closer to a man behind the scenes who asked me out then. I didn’t even date him; we just struck a good friendship. He’s an elderly man and his name is Uncle Sunday Ogunyemi. Wemimo said since I saw the man as the alpha and omega, I should go and meet him. I cried that day and told him that he will still spend a fortune to beg me to act for him. I believe it’s still going to happen.

How did you get into the industry?

It was after watching Ale Ariwo. Uncle Wemmy was a major stakeholder in the industry then. I called him and he told me to come. I went to his office at Ibadan and registered. That was how I got into the industry. The people I met on set then told me to come to Lagos and work with them. That was the beginning of the journey. I did Itakun and from there got several referrals. Did you get paid for Itakun? I was paid my transport fare (general laughter).

Which movie gave you prominence?

That was the first movie I produced, Aje Egbodo. It was an all-female cast movie. It was about lesbianism.

Was that how the rumour that you are a lesbian started?

Don’t mind them. How can I be a lesbian and write a story to preach against it? They said I’m a lesbian while another blogger said I’m a serial lover. Which one should we believe? (general laughter).

Have you ever been approached by a lesbian?

Yes, I was after the movie came out. When they made their passes , I made them understand that I’m not into lesbianism. Yoruba, Igbo and Hausa lesbians made passes at me. They usually started by being friendly. You will get the message when they do odd things and would come out clearly when they know you are already suspicious or aware. But seriously, what’s the big deal about giving in once to one of these ladies. It won’t kill you, will it? I’m not interested. I’m so-so straight. I’m very finicky, I can’t do that.

What’s the big deal about a girl fondling your boobs, she’s a girl. It’s safe, isn’t it?

It’s a big deal. It’s not safe. It’s demonic. How can a girl be fondling my boobs? No way. They’re for the opposite sex.

Who says they’re for the opposite sex?

That’s what the Bible says. I’m a Christian.

Are you happy?

I am.

Is there something you would like to change?

It will be the way people judge me without knowing me.

Is it true you are rich because you are a drug courier?

I’ve never seen it before, except the powder and cassava flour we use in movies.

Have you ever dated a drug baron?

I don’t know. I’m saying that because you know men can hide a lot of things but none has ever come out to say he’s into narcotics.

Have you ever sniffed drugs?

Never. I don’t even understand why people say that. I don’t have two cars, I’m still a tenant, I don’t have diamonds. I wonder how people come up with these stories. I’ve been doing business as far back as 1998, don’t you think the business would have grown since then?. Those who know where I come from won’t be surprised at my progress? I still do buying and selling and I have a crèche, Paydab in Surulere. I run a business with my mum. She sells toys.

Has anybody ever broken your heart?

I’ve neve been heart broken but I always find myself breaking hearts.

What do you look for in a guy?

A guy that can be real. I don’t want someone who says he is what he is not.

Is it true you are a serial lover?

The writer is dumb. You call me a serial lover and you mention one or two names. Serial means many. He should roll out more names.

How many men have you dated?

Sam! How can I tell you that? I started late though. I didn’t have a boyfriend until I got into higher institution.

Have you dated someone in the industry?

Yes, one person.

Who’s the person?

He’s behind the camera.

Why didn’t it work?

It wasn’t as if we were heading anywhere. We liked ourselves and appreciated our works.

Have you ever cheated on your boyfriend?

Yes.

Why?

When I realized he wasn’t real and not what he said he was. In my mind, I moved on even without telling him. I move on in my mind before telling the person I’m dating. If I make up my mind, that’s it.

Did he catch you?

No, just like you don’t get caught (general laughter).

Has your boyfriend ever cheated on you?

Which guy does not cheat? Guys are born to cheat.

Did you feel bad?

Yes, most definitely. I won’t leave my man because he cheated. I won’t. That’s the way men are. They can tell you, you are the only sugar in their tea. Don’t mind them. There’s honey they are mixing with it… (general laughter). I don’t want to see it. You know some guys are so irresponsible that they splash it in your face.God make me this lucky o (General laughter). The most dangerous women are women who don’t appear bothered because you don’t know what I’m thinking in my head. That is far better than shouting and raking. Who are you dating now? Nobody. I need a break.

Have you ever dated K1 or any of his friends?

I have never dated K1 or any of his friends. I don’t know any of his friends. I got to know him when a friend suggested him as an artiste for my premiere. I went to him and he agreed. He even assisted me by calling his friends to attend and support me. A number of them came and supported us. He’s like a father figure.

If K1 asks you out, will you oblige him?

No, I won’t and I believe he won’t. He’s like a father. He won’t spoil the relationship with such advances. He has never introduced me to his friends. That would belittle him.

I read somewhere you said you would like to have a child for him?

Never. I don’t know where that is coming from.

Where did you grow up?

Lagos and with my mum.

What of your dad?

They are separated.

Do you talk?

Yes, we do.

Does your dad feel bad that you are closer to your mum than him?

He’ll be the one to answer that. He’s proud his daughter is an actress.

Did you feel bad that you didn’t grow up with your dad?

Terribly bad. I feel bad. I miss the fact that I didn’t have that fatherly care. Maybe there were things I could have done differently.

When are you getting married?

I don’t know. At the moment, I’m not dating any man. Most men out there don’t love you for who you are. Some men will come to you and start dating. After a while, they will come around and say, you have to stop acting. Didn’t you know I was an actress when you came around before? But I’m not in a hurry, and I don’t see myself ending up with a married man. I have single guys asking me out, it’s just that some of them are playboys.

Between a married man and single guy, who is better?

A single guy is better. He has the time for you. A married man will first of all cater for his family. I can’t marry a married man.

What kind of person is your mum?

She’s the best in the world. I have colleagues who go to my mum and just spend time with her. She is that kind of a person. She’s a real mother.

Banky W Is All About Style!

I am Bankole Wellington but fans call me Banky Warrior or Banky W. I’m a singer and record label owner (Empire Mate Entertainment). I was born in the United States to Nigerian parents.

My family moved back to Nigeria when I was five years old.  After secondary education in Nigeria, I moved back to the US on a college scholarship, where I earned a degree in Engineering from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. While still in college, I won the Albany Idol Competition and that set the stage for my career in music.
Entertainment in Nigeria
We are doing quite well and we have come a long way but we have a long way to go and in terms of marketing music. We have the ‘show’ part but we need to work on the business part.  Nigeria is one of the only places in the world where royalties are not paid by radio and TV stations. These people make use of music to run their businesses and make revenue from advertising but don’t pay us.
Me and artistes
For the ones on my label, I oversee their musical projects and I position them as brands. We do a lot of strategic thinking, planning and negotiations too.
A day in my life
I wake up, pray and I work out with my trainer, Uzi. He is Ikechukwu’s younger brother and he is trying to get me into shape so that I can look like Peter of P Square! After training, I’m back home, shower and try to get a healthy meal. I like chicken breast and sea food a lot. What I do after the morning ritual varies. I have many activities to attend to and in the evenings, after dinner, I watch an Arsenal game before I retire to bed.
Leisure
How and where I hang out depends on the day, sometimes there are events where I have to attend the after-party. Sometimes, I just feel like letting loose and hanging out a bit. At other times, I may be too tired to do so because of my busy schedule.
Dislikes
I hate photo shoots! Photoshoots are annoying to me, the whole process of standing there, posing and doing other random things. However, I realise that I have no choice in the matter, pictures are necessary; people have to see the artiste and connect with his image. Also, the pictures would be needed   for CD covers and press publications. I try to limit them and I only do photoshoots when I have a new album coming out. At such times, I would take a lot of different shots that will last for a year or two so they don’t have to disturb me again. But I love video shoot because I feel I can play a role; I feel as if I am almost acting.
Style
Style is just an expression of who you are and how you are feeling; it is how you want to present yourself to the general public. Comfort influences my style. Even if I am wearing a suit, I have to be comfortable in it and it has to fit properly. I wear a lot of traditional outfits these days because I love the way they make one feel free.  Style is all about you presenting yourself in a way you want people to treat you. If you present yourself like a rascal, people will react to you accordingly. But if you have money like Bill Gates, then you can afford to come out looking unkempt and it would not matter to anybody how you look.
Saddest moment
When I lose a loved one and I have lost one or two.
Relationship
No comment.

When it comes to relationship our very own Banky doesn't have a comment. Hope we will a get a comment very soon. Nigerian babes should grab him now that he is still hot!

"I got bullied a lot" - Actress Beverly Naya Confirms

Nollywood actress, Beverly Naya, is known for turning heads at red carpet events. She tells Ademola Olonilua about her fashion style

What were your early days like?

Both my parents are British; my mother was actually born there. I was born and raised in London. Growing up was fun for me. I am an only child, so it was relatively quiet. It was not really boring for me because I have a lot of cousins, they are more than 20. I cannot even count. I always found myself hanging out with them because a lot of them live in London and in America, so there is always something to do.

Why did you decide to come to Nigeria?

I came to Nigeria because I love acting and the country has a thriving industry, Nollywood. It provides me with the opportunity to act as often as possible. That is the main reason.

Have you ever faced sexual harassment in the industry?

There was no sexual harassment for me, not at all. I have not experienced it and I do not think I ever will. My experience since getting into Nollywood has been a positive one. I was fortunate enough to work with veteran actors and directors as well. I think I have had a good experience and it can only get better. I like to have a good rapport with everybody I’m working with. I like to be professional to the core. Most of the directors and producers I have worked with have a really good relationship with my mother. She is my manager. So, that helped the situation a great deal. They all respect my mother and we all have a family type of relationship, so to them, I am like a little sister.

How is it working with your mother?

It is fun working with her. Sometimes, it feels like I am on my toes because I just don’t want to disappoint my mother or parents in anyway. Because I am an adult and I have my way of doing things, then maternal instinct and mummy would be like ‘no I don’t think this is appropriate’, so that could clash with what I have to do. I don’t pay her, but I spoil my mother. She wants a holiday, massage, anything she wants she gets. So far as I can get it for her, it is hers. I appreciate her a lot. I am a mummy’s girl.

How do you come up with outfits for an event?

I like to stand out. I like to look nice; I always say I don’t just want to turn heads, I want to break necks. With that in mind, whatever I wear has to look nice. It has to be captivating and attract people in the right way. That is basically how I come up with my looks. I also work with some fashion designers who are always ready to style me and make sure I look my best at any event. The glittering dresses I wore were April by Kunbi. That is her signature. Whenever you see me wearing something that is slightly glittery or something like that, it is most likely an April by Kunbi gown.

How long does it take you to dress up?

Well, I think of the dress I’ll wear for an event two weeks before the date. I have to know what I am wearing like two weeks before. If I include taking my bath, getting dressed and doing make-up, I’ll say that takes me about two hours. I am not vain but it is necessary to look good. Looking at the mirror to asses myself takes about two minutes.

Did you see yourself as a beautiful person while growing up?

I got bullied a lot as a kid. I was an ugly duckling. I never thought I was pretty, I never felt pretty. I got bullied around during that time. I blossomed when I was 17 years old. All of a sudden, I had this attention coming from the opposite sex like I had never received before, like boys having crushes on me. It is a contrast coming from the fact that when you are young, nobody really appreciates you. It has made me become who I am today. Maybe that is why I am so confident when I step out on the red carpet or why I am so fashion conscious today. You know what it is to be bullied for most of your formative years. It is not easy. I think that is probably why I love kids so much; sometimes, they do not say what they are thinking. There are kids out there that are being bullied and I love kids to open up to me, teenagers and kids alike. We can be friends and I’ll always be there for them. I can be a mentor to them, in that regards I am there for kids.

Who was the first guy you had a crush on?

It was when I was in college. He was really handsome, tall dark skinned and had the most beautiful eyes. I am blushing by just remembering him. He was very very handsome. That was my first real crush. We talked and ended up being in a relationship, so it worked out just fine. My first celebrity crush however was Sisquo. I had the biggest crush on Sisquo when I was young. The crush is dead now. When I think about it, I want to throw up. There is no crush for him now; I don’t feel anything at all. Before, it was really bad. I had about 300 posters of him. It was really bad. I don’t even know how my crush got that crazy.

How do you cope with advances from men?

It is always flattering just to be appreciated for your looks or your talent but I don’t let it get to my head at all. It bugs me when the man is too persistent. I have had some experiences, situations where the man would ask for my number, I would say I wasn’t unavailable. They say please I would really like to get to know you and I say I have a boyfriend and they say ‘you do, but can I get to know you anyway?’ Men need to understand that ‘no’ means ‘no.’ I am not trying to be disrespectful; it is just me trying to move on with my life without you, nothing personal.

What is your fashion weakness?

I love shoes. I have a pair of shoes that just came out; I saw them on Rihanna and I just had to have them. That is about my most expensive pair of shoes, it was made by Louboutin. It has a bright electric blue colour and they cost over £1,000. I have never worn them. I doubt if I’ll ever wear them because they are so hard to wear. They are bright blue, electric blue and it it’ll be difficult to pair that with an outfit. So, I have never worn them for that reason. You may call it a waste of money; at least I know Rihanna has it.

What are the fashion errors that irk you?

I hate camel toes. I hate when a girl wears leggings and they are too tight and then you see a camel toe. That is really an eyesore and I don’t like it. Especially when the leggings are really bright, that makes it worse.

Did you and Uti ever date?

We are not dating. Uti and I are nothing more than just friends. My boyfriend did not like the rumours. He did not find it funny. You cannot just be in a relationship and your lover is reading things like that about you with somebody else. Jealousy will definitely set in because he is romantically linked with you and nobody would appreciate that. You really have to prove that really there is nobody else except that person you are with.

Describe your dream man

My dream man should be basically tall, handsome, ambitious, God-fearing and knows how to treat a woman.

What is your selling point?

If it is physically, I do not know but I get compliments on my eyes and my lips a lot. So, I’ll say maybe that is what it is, but I don’t know. I’m a very good kisser though.
