Late Night Eating

How does it affect our body, we keep getting advice not to eat late at night, that it’s not good for the body, because of the amount of time the food takes in our body to digest, and that since you’re less active at night, you’ll be less likely to burn the calories you just ate, in other words makes you fat.. And it’s all true, food takes a lot of time to digest especially solid food, and your choice of food is usually poor at night. Some people will say when they drink lots of water, the digests quicker, but that is not so, because the water also needs to digest.

But then I begin to wonder, what about those that get home late from work?? Those that get home like 9pm or 9:30pm, Are they not going to eat? Of course they have to! And it’s not just the snack that you eat on the way side, but real food. Well my advice to them is to eat very light food and round it up with an orange. Why? Because orange helps the food to digest quicker. I know you’ll say orange makes you go hungry, and influence your frequent visit to the toilet. Then I suggest you take one orange every night after eating, sit for like 10 minutes, then you’re good to go to bed. It actually worked for me, when I was working in the island from the mainland. What I do is buy a lot of orange during the weekend, since that’s the time I have for myself, then take one every night during the week, and refill again during the weekend. What do you think? Not good for you or good for you?
