Super Eagles
coach Stephen Keshi has said he may be forced to drop AFCON star Sunday Mba if
his transfer saga continues.
“I may be
forced to drop Mba from the team if his transfer issues are not sorted out. If by
our next game, they have not resolved the problem I may not invite him,” Keshi
said.
The problem
is, the two top Nigerian League clubs, Warri Wolves and Rangers are in a heated
argument as to who rightfully owns the player.
Sunday Mba
on his part insists he is with Rangers.
He also
said he was forced to call up as many as 15 foreign-based players for the Kenya
match.
“I invited
15 foreign-based players because the Nigerian League is just starting up.
“The
foreign-based players have been regular at their clubs and as such their
fitness level is very high. Most of our local boys are rusty but we see how it
goes in our training camp,” he disclosed.
