JA RULE WILL BE RELEASED FROM HIS TAX EVASION SENTENCE ON JULY 28TH

Hey hip-hop lovers! I just came across this news about ja rule. I didn’t even know he was in prison to start with, (I know you’ll say I’m not current at all o) hehehehe... the song i like the best is the one he sang with Ashanti, i can’t really remember the title, this is part of the lyrics, > I’m not always there when you call, but I’m always on time, now baby be mine <, my brother and I use to do competition on who sang it best, hehehehe... Well here is the gist...

Ja rule has been serving time in jail since 2011 for charge of possession of illegal firearm. He had assignments on lawn and grounds crews, and participated in education programs while in prison. And he was on his best behaviour in prison, apart from two misbehaviour reports for unauthorized phone call, stated the state correction spokeswoman Linda Foglia.

However the rapper was on the verge of freedom February 21 although his sentence was shortened because of good behaviour. But he was not off the hook, because he still has to pay his debt to society. So when he finally got out of jail on February, he was sent straight into federal custody for tax evasion charges alongside all the other sentences, which he is to serve for 28 months.

Defence Attorney Stacey Richman says that an order to pay back the $1.1 million in back taxes is one of the reasons Ja rule is anxious to be done with his legal problems and get back to work.

Ja rule will be released from Brooklyn Metropolitan Detention Center on July 28th. “many people are looking forward to experiencing his talent again”,  says Ja’s attorney. Adding that the queens rapper is also looking forward to his daughter’s graduation, “he’s a devoted father”. His attorney also made a statement that the rapper is excited to get back to his old life, and also to pay the $1.1 million he owes the government.
