Rihanna rocked her Diamond World Tour, On Saturday night, at Buffalo, New York. The Pop
superstar took the stage late, starting the show at 10 pm, but calmed the crowd
by rocking a set packed with her biggest hits.
She performed
tracks including “Rude Boy,” “We Found Love,” “Umbrella,” “Only Girl (In The
World),” and “Don’t Stop The Music,” during her set; and finally ended the show
with lots of gratitude for fans attending the gig.
“You guys
are all rock stars. There is only one first show, you all have a special place
in my heart,” she told the crowd.
Rihanna
posted a few images to her Instagram page afterwards, with one of them captioned;
“No Words, just DIAMONDS!!! #EPICsh*t #BUFFALO $old out!!!”. And another
captioned; “Look wuh ya girl do!!! All I see iz $ign$.”
“Buffalo I
will never forget how you made me feel tonight!!!” she added on Twitter. “Thank
you from the bottom of my heart!! 1 (one) love always. Diamonds World Tour we (are)
just getting started!!!”
But she was
forced to postpone her second show, in Boston’s TD garden on Sunday night,
because of a bout with laryngitis.
“The
Rihanna Diamonds World Tour previously scheduled for this evening in Boston has
been postponed,” reads a message on the venue’s website.
“Unfortunately,
following her sold out concert on Friday Rihanna has contracted laryngitis and
per doctor’s instruction is unstable to perform this evening.
“Boston
fans are instructed to retain their tickets pending rescheduling show date information”
Rihanna disappointed
by the turn of event, posted this on Twitter, “I hate disappointing people that
never let me down!! I’m so embarrassed about this! Thank you for your prayers
and well wishes! #DWT”
“#BOSTON
this is the hardest thing for me to deal with! I feel like we’ve been waiting
on this day forever, and I’m hurting that I let you down”
Her next
chance to stage a show is on Tuesday night in Baltimore, Maryland.
Earlier in
the week, Ryan Seacrest announced on his radio show, “[Rihanna’s] been in this
go mode for a while,” Seacrest said, “Seven hit records in seven years. Sold-
out tours, but sources say after this tour wraps up in Helsinki, Finland, in
July, She plans to take up to a year off to unwind.”
