Author Of S*x And the City Tackles Sarah Jessica Packer’s Criticism

Candace Bushnell                               AnnaSophia Kobb                   Sarah Jessica Parker

The author of TV series/movie s*x and the city, Candace Bushnell has hit back on Sarah Jessica Parker for her comment regarding the show.
Sarah, 47, played the part of the sassy writer, ‘Carrie Bradshaw’, in the TV show, of over 5 seasons. She made a remark about ‘Carrie’s Dairies’, which currently features AnnaSophia Robb as a younger version of her character ‘Carrie Bradshaw’. A remark which doesn’t sit well with the author.
The actress said, “She (AnnaSophia Robb) is a lovely girl and I want for her to feel good about it, but it’s odd,”

So Candace Bushnell has now addressed Parker’s comments, saying, “The reality is, that’s showbiz. Sarah Jessica’s first part was somebody else’s part. She played Annie on Broadway. She understands how these things work.”
Stressing that Sarah’s first role as Annie on Broadway had been played by a string of actresses before her.  And that s*x and the city fans needed a new take on ‘Carrie Bradshaw’. “Look, Sarah Jessica Parker is 47. I think with the second movie, ‘Carrie Bradshaw’ couldn’t be an ingénue anymore. But I think they were stuck doing what the audience wanted.

"Realistically, a middle-aged woman who was married without children would be much more focused on her career and less focused on this Mr. Big (character) of: ‘Does he love me?’... ‘Does he still not love me?’ I mean, I think it was coming to the end of what they could do with the character,” Bushnell said.

I for one, love that series because of Sarah Jessica Parker, at 41 sje looks 35, really beautiful. She is so full of life and love. It’s not going to easy for AnnaSophia to fill in that gap.
